Liz Young

Liz is an independent teacher of Vedic meditation based in Manly, the Northern Beaches of Sydney, Australia. Liz also teaches in India.

Liz had a regular yoga practice for many years before learning the Vedic meditation technique, which effortlessly became a part of her daily life. Discovering first-hand the benefits of meditation and her love of this practice, Liz felt it was a gift she wanted to share. After extensive study of Vedanta and meditation retreats as well as her twice daily meditation practice, Liz travelled to India in 2011, living in Rishikesh and the Himalayan mountains, where for 108 days, she undertook intense study and meditation and became a teacher of Vedic meditation.

The kindest gift you can give to yourself is the gift of learning to meditate

Love is to enjoy the family rose of petal-beings, And thence to move to spacious fields - Passing by portals of social, national, international sympathy, On to the limitless Cosmic Home – To gaze with looks of wonderment, And to serve all that lives, still or moving. This is to know what love is. He knows who lives it. Love is the Heaven Toward which the flowers, rivers, nations, atoms, creatures – you and I Are rushing by the straight path of action right, Or winding laboriously on error’s path, All to reach haven there at last
— Paramahansa Yogananda, from Songs of the Soul
Come, come, whoever you are. Wanderer, worshipper, lover of leaving. It doesn’t matter. Ours is not a caravan of despair. Come, even if you have broken your vows a thousand times. Come, yet again, come, come.
